I'm using a Q6600 with an nvidia 680i SLI board with a single 8800GTX running on a 650 PUS (Antec Tru Power), with a hand full of drives. No problems what so ever and best of all the system is quiet.

Exactly my point - Antec PSUs are quite good - just don't get your mind fixated on Antec - lot's of people do that, when Corsair and others are right up there with Antec.

A 650 watter might be pushing it a bit, though, due to that "handful" of drives.
